This is the part of the city with the widest gap between the pickup and the destination. A wedding here often starts on a narrow rowhouse block in Fishtown or Fairhill and finishes at one of the biggest ballrooms in Philadelphia, ten minutes away in Northern Liberties. Those two ends need completely different handling — one is a question of whether the vehicle physically fits down the street, the other is a question of coordinating with a valet stand that is already running. We plan for both.

Venues Across This Territory
A short list of the places our chauffeurs run to regularly. If yours isn't here, it almost certainly still is — call and ask.
Cescaphe Ballroom
923 N 2nd St, Northern LibertiesThe former Imperial movie theater — vaulted cathedral ceilings, chandeliers, a garden courtyard, and free valet parking, which changes how the drop-off works.
Tendenza
Northern LibertiesThe industrial-loft room of the same group, mid-century in feel, with clean lines and muted tones.
Temple University
North Broad StreetCommencement, family weekends and university events — and the one date each year that closes streets across North Broad.
The Roads We Actually Take
Broad Street and I-95
Broad Street runs the length of North Philadelphia and is the simplest way north or south. For the river wards, I-95 and Delaware Avenue are usually quicker than cutting across the grid. Girard Avenue is the cross-town link between the two halves of this territory, and it carries trolley tracks.
Temple commencement weekend
Once a year, streets across North Broad close and the whole area slows for a weekend. If your date lands on it, that is not a detail to discover on the morning — we check the university calendar against your date when you book.
To PHL
I-95 south is the default and it is a straightforward run outside rush hour. From the western side of North Philadelphia, Broad Street down through South Philly to Pattison is sometimes better. We pick based on the day rather than habit.
Which Car Fits Which Street
The difference between a car that arrives and a car that arrives correctly.
Northern Liberties venues run their own valet
At the major ballrooms here there is already a valet operation working the curb when you arrive. The right move is to coordinate with it rather than compete for the same six feet of street. We agree the drop-off point with the venue in advance so your car is not circling while a valet waves it on.
Fishtown and Kensington are narrow
The residential blocks here have the same problem as South Philadelphia — one-way, parked both sides, roughly one vehicle width down the middle. A 12-passenger van does not belong on some of them. Sedan to the door, larger vehicle staged on Frankford, Girard or Delaware Avenue.
Girard Avenue has trolley tracks
They are in the roadway, they are slick in the wet, and they dictate where a vehicle can safely change lanes or pull in. It is a small thing that shapes the route more than people expect.
The ten-minute wedding
A ceremony in Fishtown and a reception in Northern Liberties can be a very short drive — short enough that the timing problem is arriving too early rather than too late. We plan a route that fills the gap properly, usually with photographs, rather than parking the couple around the corner for twenty minutes.
Construction is constant here
The river wards have been under continuous development for years and street closures change month to month. We check the approach close to the date rather than relying on a route that worked last season.

Our reception is at a Northern Liberties ballroom with valet. How do you handle the drop-off?
We agree the drop-off point with the venue before the day and work with the valet operation rather than against it. Those curbs are busy and already being managed, so arriving with a plan is the difference between stepping out at the door and circling the block.
Can a limo get down our block in Fishtown?
Depends on the block, and we check it before the booking rather than on the morning. Several streets here are one-way with parking on both sides and a 12-passenger vehicle will not fit. Where that's the case we bring a sedan to the door and hold the larger vehicle on Frankford, Girard or Delaware Avenue.
The ceremony and reception are only ten minutes apart. Is that a problem?
It's a different problem from the usual one — the risk is arriving too early rather than too late. We plan a route that uses the time properly, usually for photographs, instead of parking you around the corner waiting for the room to be ready.
Do you handle Temple graduation weekend?
Yes, and we plan around it. Commencement closes streets across North Broad and slows the whole area for a weekend. We check the university calendar against your date at the time of booking so the route accounts for it.
